The SCHULE drum groat cutter produces uniform, sharp-edged groat particles. The application possibilities are numerous:
- Intermediate product for further processing to baby flakes and melting flakes
- Oat groats
- Barley groats
- Cutting of rye and wheat
- Groats for feeding purposes
Hardly any breakage and flour
In this very precise process, the grain is cut across its length. The stainless steel drums are provided with more than 600 calibrated holes which are adapted to the type of grain to be cut. The grains falling lengthwise through the holes are seized and cut by knives. A very low percentage of breakage and flour is produced. The cutting angle and the spacing of the knives can be adjusted to coarse, medium, or fine cut groats.
