Chronicle of F.H. SCHULE Mühlenbau GmbH
F.H. SCHULE GmbH has been founded by Mr. Friedrich Hermann Schule 1892 in Hamburg.

On February 1, 1892, the millwright engineer F.H. SCHULE (Sr.) began in a small rented workshop to develop Patent No. 77.786 on a paddy separator. His equipment was a carpenter’s bench, his capital the instinct of the inventor and an invincible will to succeed.

The quick acceptance of the SCHULE paddy separator with its early name of „Cinderella" soon turned his small workshop into the world’s largest factory specialising in rice milling machinery.

Barely within two decades he employed 300 men and numerous subcontractors. He soon opened seven branch offices from Bangkok to New York.

F.H. SCHULE (Sr.) originated the idea of SELFCONTAINED or COMPACT type Rice Mills by combining all machines with ancillary equipment and drive from one line shaft, placing these in a prefabricated structure. In 1908 and 1910 SCHULE installed in Saigon the two largest rice mills of 1A000 and 600 tons capacity of white rice per day.

The consequences of two world wars involved heavy losses and serious setbacks. All overseas branches were lost. The Hamburg factory was completely destroyed in 1943. Yet F.H. SCHULE (Jr.) who took over in 1935 completed the difficult task of reconstruction until 1956, the company by then having 500 employees.

In 1962 Kampnagel entrusted SCHULE to sell and service their hitherto well known rice milling equipment. An enterprising spirit combined with the assiduity of an efficient staff have led to successes which the SCHULE company reviews with pride.
